Boxwoods

Boxwoods are among the most popular of our evergreen
shrubs. They have lustrous dark green foliage on dense,
multi-branched forms.
Boxwoods tolerate pruning well for use as a hedge
or in formal gardens. They come in several varieties, one of which
will surely be suited well for your particular needs. We've listed
some varieties & their growing habits below.
All boxwoods can be grown in partial shade to full
sun conditions. They prefer well drained, fertile soil. They will,
however tolerate Tulsa's clay soil.
We suggest keeping your boxwood moist but not wet
especially during the first several growing seasons. A good 2-3"
layer of mulch is recommended.
Fertilize in the spring with a good, all purpose
fertilizer.
