Norfolk Island Pine
Araucaria

Branches of the Norfolk Island Pine are borne in symmetrical
tiers with half inch needles. It is native to the south pacific.
Often used as a Christmas tree.
Care
Plant in humus potting soil and keep the soil minimally moist.
Norfolk Island Pines grow best in bright, indirect sunlight,
moderate temperatures and low humidity.
Special Requirements
This plant needs enough light to prevent irregular growth.
Turning the plant occasionally will help direct light to all sides.
Selecting Your Tree

insect and disease damage. New leaf growth is desirable. Avoid those
with yellow or brown leaf margins, wilted or water soaked leaves.
Problems
Root rot: Provide adequate drainage. Do not let plant sit in
water.
Spider mites: Wash with soapy water and apply miticide.
Leaf scorch: Provide adequate water and humidity. Do not
overfertilize.
