Peace Lily
Spathiphyllum

The peace lily is becoming more and more popular not only because
of its ease of care but also because of many new varieties that are
showing up. It is a durable, tropical foliage plant that has white
blossoms. It will flower best in bright indirect lighting; however,
it can tolerate a little bit of low humidity and low light.
Care & Maintenance:
Temperature: Warm or average warmth. Minimum of 55 º
F. in winter.
Light: Semi-shade if put out for
summer. Bright light in winter works best for blooming. Will
tolerate lower light levels.
Water: Keep soil moist at all times.
Reduce watering somewhat in winter. Never let it dry out.
Humidity: Mist leaves frequently.
Repotting: Depending on growth, usually
about every 1-2 years.
Quick Tips:
- Some leaves will yellow as they age.
- Droopy or more than average yellowing leaves
is usually a sign of under or over watering. When watering make
sure the water flows through the bottom of the pot and make sure you
empty the saucer under the plant.
- If you see brown tips on the leaves this is
usually caused from too little humidity. Try misting the foliage.
